Ford Taurus wagon comes in two trims ? the SE and SEL versions. Both models are
offered with four-speed automatic transmissions and powered by two different V6
engines ? the old overhead-valve Vulcan V6 and the contemporary dual overhead-cam
all-aluminum Duratec V6. Both engines are 3.0-liter engines but the Duratec is
more refined and more powerful.
The SEL version is motorized by the Duratec V6 and it has an additional seven-spoke
machined aluminum wheels, AM/FM cassette with six-CD changer, steering that is
wrapped with leather, dark paledo wood-trimmed interior, electronic temperature
control that comes automatic, and keyless keypad entry. It has an optional power
adjustable pedals and side-impact airbags.
Wagons are well-equipped than sedans. They possess four-wheel disc brakes, automatic
braking system and rear anti-roll bar that give better handling. The SE wagons
have six-way power driver's seat, a smartly adjustable luggage rack, and an exceptional
bumper shape with step pads at the rear. Taurus SEL has available options that
include side-impact airbags.
