2001 Taurus is available in four models: the LX which is the standard model, the lower mid-range SE, the SEL which remains at the top of the line and the SES edition. LX comes with noteworthy features including second-generation, dual-stage airbags; air conditioning; power windows, mirrors and door locks; speed-sensitive power steering coupled with tilt steering wheel; and tachometer.

 

The SEL top all models due to its aero bumpers, more powerful and strong engine, automatic headlights, automatic climate control, heater mirrors, a perimeter anti-theft system, steering wheel wrapped with leather, machined aluminum road wheels, and cassette and CD capability. The SE flavor is offered with four-wheel disc brakes, power antenna, six-way power seats, luggage rack, rear-window wiper/washer and a rear anti-roll bar while SES is available with anti-lock braking system, six-way power seats, CD player and “aerodynamic” bumper.
